SYNOPSIS
The bill proposes to remove the Abor tribe from the list and replaces certain Schedule Tribe (ST) in Arunachal Pradesh for the welfare of these tribes.

BACKGROUND
The bill was proposed on the recommendations of the State of Arunachal Pradesh.
There were 18 communities with their synonym in ST list Arunachal Pradesh, which lead to duplications.
Also, there were many communities which were not included in the list after independence.
